T-Entertainment Licenses Unreal Engine 3

Seoul-based T-Entertainment has announced that it has licensed EpicGames’ Unreal Engine 3 for an upcoming MMO project codenamed L2.The unannounced title will apprently focus on RPG and RTS elements and is being described as a “futuristicfantasy with a taste of space opera.”“We have a team ofseasoned professionals devoted to L2 project, and we are confident thatby integrating our expertise and Unreal Engine 3’s excellentperformance, L2 will be a top-tier MMORPG that fascinates gamers allaround the world,” said John Hong, CTO of T-Entertainment.

“T-Entertainmentis a well-diversified entertainment company that is poised to launchyet another successful MMORPG worldwide,” said Jay Wilbur, vicepresident of Epic Games. “We are constantly improving the UnrealEngine, and look forward to providing them with cutting-edge gamedevelopment tools and technology for many months to come.”Don’t expect the game any time soon, the ship date has been set at 2010.
