We all expected that the upcoming PS4 edition of The Last of Us would look better than its current PS3 counterpart, but it seems the game really is looking especially good. It has been reported that the in game character models in the PS4 edition are “on par” with the cutscenes in the PS3 version.
Whilst speaking to Edge, creative director Neil Druckmann said: “We brought in all the hi-res models, and then it’s on par with what you saw in the cutscenes,” said Druckmann. “There’s an improved lighting model. After that, we started looking across the board; enemies look a little blurry up close, so that was pretty easy. We ramped those up and saw a pretty significant difference.

Naughty Dog appear to be losing employee’s at an alarming rate. The latest to go is the lead character artist Michael Knowland who has worked for Naughty Dog for over three years. According to his Linkedin profile, Knowland has left Naughty Dog after working on the hugely successful The Last of Us.
His leaving adds to the number of big names who have left Naughty Dog. Nate Wells, Justin Richmond and Amy Hennig have all recently left Naughty Dog and it’s not hard to understand why some people are asking what the hell is going on? From the publics point of view Naughty Dog couldn’t be hotter right now so why is everyone jumping ship? Is there trouble in paradise or are some people leaving simply to pursue other options?

That proved that at least half of the rumour was true, but what about Beyond: Two Souls?
Well whilst nothing official has been announced, a keen eyed NeoGAF user named Dragonbane may have uncovered proof of Beyond’s transition to the PS4. Dragonbane spotted the below image on one of the game designers online portfolios.

You remember The Last of Us right? It was that ridiculously awesome game that came out last year on the PS3 and has since become one of the most popular games ever. The game was critically acclaimed for pretty much every aspect but many reviews commented on how the brutally realistic combat did a great job of showing just how hard and brutal the world of The Last of Us is.
Between you and me dear reader, one of the main reasons I bought a PS3 back in 2009 (when I already owned an Xbox 360) was because the first trailer for The Last Guardian had just been released. I’m a huge fan of Team ICO’s Shadow of the Colossus and ICO and I was so excited to play another one of their games. Fast forward five years and The Last Guardian still hasn’t been released despite a total of seven years in development. Fortunately great PS3 games like Uncharted, The Last of Us and Metal Gear Solid 4 saved me from regretting my Sony purchase but every now and then I wonder whatever is going on with The Last Guardian. Finally we get a little more news on the game and it seems pretty good.
In a recent interview with IGN, Scott Rhode, one of the guys in charge of Sony’s roster of fully owned studios shed some light on the mysterious game and confirmed that it is “absolutely in the mix”.
