Ok, ok, so it’s a bit of a loud headline but we thought you might like to know what our Christian chaps across the pond are saying.
We saw this article last week, and were horrified to find that it’s an adaptation from a book this guy is selling.
The long and short of it is don’t play video games children. It’s bad for you. You become a terrorist. Or rather, the TV and video games are terrorists. So don’t play.
Parents: Remove all kinds of ungodly items from your children’s rooms. Immediately. Terrorists come in all shapes and sizes. According to our honourable friend, Ron Luce, they culprits are: “video games, computers, cell phones, teen magazines, music, TV, and movies: all of which fall under the umbrella of entertainment and all are likely perpetrators.”
But Luce does make a valid point, “all of us have the potential to be deceived and shaped by what we see and hear.”
He’s right, that’s why I decided to stop reading it there.
If you have any thoughts then please do email him. You can find his contact details through his website for the Christian organisation (“reaching millions of young people”) at www.teenmania.org
We thought that too….
