The Anacrusis — Regular and special weapons guide

Sci-fi shenanigans.

You’ll need to take out countless hostile aliens in The Anacrusis. Unfortunately, even though you do have some armaments that pack quite a punch, the game’s equipment is still lacking in variety. In any case, here’s our guide to help you with the best regular and special weapons in The Anacrusis.

The Anacrusis weapons guide – Regular and special weapons for your characters

Regular weapons

The Anacrusis has three primary weapons. These can be picked up while you’re inside the airlock prior to the start of the level, and additional drops can also be found as you explore. The ammo of primary weapons can be refilled by interacting with a device that charges that weapon. Moreover, there’s a pistol that’s always available to use.

Pistol

The pistol is fairly weak as it requires a few shots before hostiles are downed. Still, it has infinite ammo, and it can be used to attack if you’re in a downed state.

SMB

This is your good ol’ submachine gun. It has a fast rate of fire, but it’s only viable when in close range.

Blaster

Speaking of close-range engagements, the Blaster (i.e., shotgun) is normally expected to punch through mobs. Unfortunately, it has a very slow rate of fire and a limited clip that’ll have you reloading often. Also, for some odd reason, it’s as though it lacks the “oomph” of what you’ve come to expect from FPS “boomsticks.”

Plasma Rifle

The Plasma Rifle is, in my opinion, the best regular weapon in The Anacrusis. It’s decent in short to medium-range engagements, and it’s useful if you want to stay further away from rampaging hostiles.

Special weapons

The Anacrusis has three special weapons that can only be picked up as you progress through levels. They’re fairly limited due to their usage or ammo clip, and they can’t be recharged.

Arc Rifle

This is a powerful gun that can zap enemies. A single hit will kill most regular aliens, and it has the chain lightning effect, too.

Laser Rifle

The Laser Rifle in The Anacrusis needs to be held down for a second before shooting its beam. Constant targeted fire can easily drop powerful foes.

Auto-Turret

This device can be dropped in a location, but it can’t be picked up again. Once deployed, it will do a sweep in a frontal cone and shoot enemies that it detects. The targeting seems to be slightly delayed.
