The Day Before has had a rough couple of years ever since it was announced back in 2021. So rough that some have suggested that it might not actually exist. To reassure the skeptical, developer FNTASTIC just released a new gameplay trailer for The Day Before that includes a December release date.
The Day Before early access release date, explained
The Day Before is now scheduled to enter early access on December 7, 2023. The release date was previously set for November 1, 2023, but since that date has come and gone, I’m actually optimistic that The Day Before will launch in early access on December 7, 2023.
How to register for The Day Before early access
The good news about The Day Before Early Access period is that everybody who wants to can play it. You don’t need to register for it like you would a closed beta. All you have to do is wishlist it on Steam and wait for the release date.
What platforms is The Day Before available on?
To my knowledge, The Day Before Early Access is only available on PC via Steam. I believe The Day Before will eventually be available on Xbox and PlayStation when it inevitably leaves early access and fully launches.
What we know about The Day Before so far
The Day Before is a PvPvE MMO extraction shooter. It’s a post-apocalyptic survival game that, as the genre dictates, will have players completing missions and surviving supply runs. If you’re successful, you’ll return to a colony called Woodberry and exchange your loot for rewards.
The game is set on the east coast of North America. You’ll create your own character and roleplay them however you please, reinforced by the Life Sim elements within the customizable ranch that serves as your base. Check out the final trailer below.
There are cars, guns, zombies, and enemy players to look forward to in The Day Before. Personally, I’m still a little skeptical, but I am nonetheless very excited. December 7 can’t come soon enough.
