This Sims 4 mod makes the UI look like Sims 2 and the nostalgia is real

Back in time.

As someone who grew up playing hundreds of hours on The Sims 2, this Sims 4 mod is right up my alley. You can download this Sims 4 mod that makes the UI look like The Sims 2 and the resemblance is uncanny.

Modder creates a Sims 4 mod to change the UI to look exactly like Sims 2

This mod is now publically available, and if you miss playing The Sims 2 this is the perfect mod for you. Created by Vyxated, this Sims 4 mod transforms the UI to look exactly like Sims 2. From the loading screens to Create-A-Sim and even Live Mode, everything looks just like The Sims 2 did. I can’t imagine the amount of work that went into creating this mod, and it was all worth it in the end. You can download this mod from Jovan’s post on Sims Community.

First of all, the Create-A-Sim area looks just like the Body Shop background from Sims 2, and the UI has transformed from a stark white to a pale purple. This was the main color theme of Sims 2, and even most of the buttons look ripped right out of Sims 2.

  • Build Mode
  • Sims 4 Mod Sims 2 Ui Live Mode

You can see how incredible this mod is just by admiring the UI in Build and Live Mode. Build mode revamps The Sims 4 UI to have the same color scheme and icons as Sims 2, even when you see the curser placing down walls with the long blue arrow.

Then you have Live Mode and all the choices in the interactions menu look identical to Sims 2. The nostalgic Sims fan in me is screaming at me to download this mod right now just to feel like I’m playing Sims 2 again but with updated graphics.

My favorite addition has to be this iconic loading screen. The Sims 2 had this unique tile loading screen that lit up different icons as you waited for your game to load. Although this mod is now out for everyone to try out, it’s probably still a work in progress and may have some bugs to squash.

Nevertheless, this is something that every Sims 2 fan should try out in their Sims 4 game. Perhaps this modder’s next project will be a Sims 3 UI revamp! Speaking of mods, there are plenty of other great mods out there for gameplay, builders, and Create-A-Sim that everyone can enjoy.
