THQ Outlines Big Plans For Fiscal 2012

THQ CEO and president Brian Farrell has explained that fiscal 2012 “looks like a very solid year.”Speaking in last night’s THQ earnings call, Farrell explained THQ’s thoughts on each fiscal year, from 2010 through 2012.“Fiscal 10 would be the turnaround year, fiscal 11 would be the rebuilding year where we make significant progress, but then fiscal 12, just based on our product flow, particularly adding a third core game – Saints Row, Warhammer 40,000 and Darksiders…””With three core games and growth in our kids, family and casual business, growth in the fighting business, and we’ll see our digital business ramp in 12,” said Farrell. “It just looks like a very solid year for us.”Seems likely to us. Fiscal 2012 will span from April 2011 through to the end of March 2012, which is a period that will include Saints Row 3, Darksiders 2, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, with new Homefront and Red Faction games due sometime in the second half of that timeframe.
