Treyarch: Bond Game Will Not Disappoint

Quantum of Solace: The Game developer Treyarch has predicted the new Bond game will represent a return to form for the franchise.“We’re not trying to fix anything EA did wrong, because that’s just what they did,” Treyarch’s Garrett Young told MCV UK. “I’m sure the series p**ed off a lot of gamers over the last few yearsas the games started to go downhill, but we have no control over that.””The pressure we feel is more about launching this franchise in the right way,” said Young. “We know that you only have one chance to make a really great first impression, and this is it.”Quantum of Solace is the first Bond title to be made since Activision took over the franchise from EA. The game utilises the Call of Duty 4 engine and will feature a mix of first and third person combat. Garret Young expects the game to mirror the success of the upcoming film.”Casino Royale was tremendously successful so I expect this film will do well, too,” he said. “And I’m confident that our game will do great on the back of that.”Quantum of Solace: The Game is due for release this autumn on DS, PC, PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.
