Our parent company, Enthusiast Gaming, has partnered with Twitch for its 12-hour charitable event scheduled for this Saturday as part of the global push to fundraise for COVID-19 pandemic relief efforts. “Twitch Stream Aid 2020” is set to feature big stars from the world of gaming, music, athletics, and more along with select streamers of the type that have made Twitch the iconic name in online game culture.

All proceeds will be donated to the United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization (WHO). Those wishing to support, participate, or simply show solidarity are invited to make sure their ad-blockers are turned off and tune into the Twitch main channel on Saturday, March 28 at 9:00 a.m. PST. The Luminosity schedule is as follows:

Among the guest list will be the Philadelphia Eagles’ Darius Slay, Luminosity Gaming brand ambassador Richard Sherman, and members of the Seattle Surge, all of whom will be playing Call of Duty: Warzone. While the full guest list has already proven huge, a helpful infographic has been provided by Twitch highlighting some of the more prominent figures joining the fun, including the diverse likes of Die Antwoord and Steve Aoki. In addition to musical performances, guests are set to run live games of Fortnite and Uno, and if you add the “TwitchStreamAid” tag to your own channel, Twitch might choose to feature your stream in the event! Co-streaming and “supporting campaigns” are also encouraged, along with fans watching from home donating on their own.

The main Twitch Stream Aid 2020 event’s conclusion on Saturday will be followed by a subsequent week-long event filled with more fundraising opportunities, the details of which Twitch has yet to reveal.

In a press release for the event, Enthusiast Gaming Entertainment Division EG Live President Corey Mandell stated the following:

We are honored to partner with Twitch and join forces to help support the global fight against COVID-19. Now more than ever we are committed to using our entire platform to provide support and connections for our communities. Twitch Stream Aid is an opportunity to raise funds for the World Health Organization and its fight against coronavirus.

Further information is available at the original blog post, along with donation links, the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, and detailed instructions for co-streaming. A full schedule for all the event’s special guests will also be posted ahead of the show.
