Ubisoft Q3 Down, Bolstered (But Should Have Been Lifted) By Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

Ubisoft reports lower, but expected, numbers for Q3. They made € 520 million, or $ 780 million. This was within their goal of € 500-€ 540 million, but below the € 820 million they made in the same quarter last year.

Ubisoft reports that sales were mostly raised by Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Just Dance, but a lack of any surprise hits meant that they really weren’t going to repeat what they accomplished last year. Of course, these two top games were sequels too, so Ubi is banking their new upcoming IP, including Watch Dogs, will serve them better in the new year.
