A new developer video for the upcoming voxel-based MMO space game Dual Universe explains how spaceships in the game are built.

Made up of different units, players are able to build their own spacecraft utilising different materials to construct the ships. Different shapes can be sculpted from the materials to make them more realistic. It’s not a terrible complex process but it will take time to make something spectacular. Everything from fuel tanks and engines need to be placed inside the construction so it will take some careful planning.
