What is the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Level Cap? Answered

Time for more grinding.

Phantom Liberty is a new expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 that features a heap of new content. From a new questline to fresh Gigs, weapons, armor, and more. There’s a lot to like about what CD Projekt Red is adding here and that’s not even touching on the new additions brought to the game via its recent 2.0 update. But let’s get some basic information out of the way and talk about the new level cap in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

Before the Phantom Liberty expansion, the level cap for Cyberpunk 2077 was 50. In fairness, this is enough to max out the attributes of about three skill trees and then some. Plus all the perk points you could get meant you could spec into a few different skill trees and have plenty of fun. But now, with Phantom Liberty, the level cap has been increased to 60.

You’ll get 10 extra levels to grind through in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. This means you’ll get 10 more attributes and perk points to spend on V. The newly added Relic tree uses its own currency though. So these extra points are just used to acquire more skills out of the currently available pool.

With that said, the 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077 introduces a completely revamped skill system. So if you’re a returning player who has yet to dive in, you’ll likely be spoiled for choice. Perks are now so much more in-depth and building V out is a really fun experience. And I can personally say that after returning to the game with a fully leveled V, I still don’t have quite enough perk points to get every skill I want. This is exactly where I want to be and these extra levels are going to be worth a lot. In fact, those 10 extra levels are going to be extremely valuable for all players. Plus if you’re someone that loves to optimise a build, you’ve got even more to work with now.
