What to do with extra Pals in Palworld

Convert your extras into something useful.

Palworld incentivizes capturing multiple of each Pal for those sweet EXP gains. If you’re playing optimally, you could have up to 10 of every Pal you’ve encountered. While I respect any player who wants an army of Chikipis, let me show you what to do with extra Pals in Palworld.

How to use extra Pals in Palworld

If you’re tired of your duplicate Pals clogging up your boxes, you can do a few things with them. You may have to level up a bit to do everything, but here are your options:

Sell unwanted Pals to the Trader

You can quickly amass a decent amount of cash by selling your unwanted Pals. The Small Settlement, west of the Plateau of Beginnings, is the easiest place to sell, and it even has its own Fast Travel point.

Speak to the Pal Merchant to trade your Pals for Gold. The Pal type and level greatly affect how much you’ll earn. For example, the Trader will give you under 100 Gold for a Chikipi but a whopping 2000+ for a Relaxaurus. Be sure to check the Pal Merchant frequently, as their inventory constantly changes.

Pal Condensation

If your favorite Pal has a Partner Skill you enjoy, you can use the Pal Condenser, unlocked at level 14. This structure lets you merge Pals into an existing one to level up their Partner Skill.

This method of getting rid of extra Pals depends on whether you want to keep one, but it’s a great way to make your best Pals even better.

Butcher Pals for resources

While infinitely more barbaric, you can Butcher your Pals for resources. You’ll need the Meat Cleaver to Butcher Pals, and you can unlock it when you reach level 12. When you equip the Meat Cleaver, it replaces the ‘pet’ command with ‘Butcher.’

As you may expect, any Pals you hit with a Meat Cleaver are gone forever. Unless you’re desperate for resources, Selling or Condensing yields more unique rewards.

If you’re wondering if you can Respec your character stats, check out our guide on how to do it and why you may want to wait before attempting it.
