Can you respec your character’s stats in Palworld?

You can, for a price.

Stats can be a little scary in Palworld, as there’s no obvious way to refund them, and you have no idea what’s good. If you’re like me and royally messed up your stats early on, you’re probably asking, “Can you respec your character’s stats in Palworld?” You can, but there’s a catch.

How to respec in Palworld

You can respec your character in Palworld, but you need to be at least level 43, which can easily take days to reach. At level 43, you’ll unlock the Electric Medicine Workbench and can craft Memory Wiping Medicine to respec your stats. The Medicine is pretty expensive and costs 50 Bones, 50 Horns, 50 Pal Fluids, and 99 Beautiful Flowers to make.

At the time of writing, multiple sources report a game-breaking error with the Memory Wiping medicine, which can permanently reduce your Pal catch rates. With this in mind, I strongly advise waiting for an official response from the developers before using the Medicine.

What should I spend my stat points on in Palworld?

We have a comprehensive guide covering stat priorities, but I recommend investing in Weight and HP before anything else. The Attack stat is odd in Palworld because the upgrades are minimal, and your Pals will quickly start doing more damage than you can on your own. I’d avoid Work Speed entirely, as Pals can already speed up the crafting process for you.

Should I restart if I’m not happy with my stats?

It’s up to you, but I don’t think it’s necessary in most cases. You’ll be able to adjust your stats eventually, and you can rely on your Pals to do the heavy lifting after a few hours of playtime. If you’re struggling in combat, make sure you check out our guide on how to dodge and avoid attacks.
