Destiny 2 three new PvP maps release date: Eventide Labs, Cirrus Plaza, Dissonance

It is confirmed that the three new Destiny 2 PvP maps release on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. If you want to show off your Brave Arsenal weapon God Rolls in the new PvP maps, you’ll have to wait about a month.

Eventide Labs

  • Destiny 2 Eventide Labs 3

The PvP map on Europa is called Eventide Labs. It’s an old human facility that the Eliksni have transformed into a refueling station. My favorite detail is the Ketch in the skybox. Eventide Labs is a landscape of ice caves that contain multiple sight lines and layers you’ll need to watch out for.

Cirrus Plaza

  • Destiny 2 Cirrus Plaza 2
  • Destiny 2 Cirrus Plaza 3

We’re getting a map on Neomuna called Cirrus Plaza. This is a mall where the CloudArk citizens shop — it’s such a fascinating location full of lore that I hadn’t even considered. I’m most excited for Cirrus Plaza because the middle of the map is wide open with a few pillars and walls for cover. There are rooms and hallways on the sides of the map that you can use to get around, but I’m excited to see the skirmishes that break out in the middle of Cirrus Plaza.

Dissonance

  • Destiny 2 Dissonance 3

The third map new PvP map coming on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, with the other two is called Dissonance and it’s on a Pyramid Ship called Essence which is in Earth’s orbit. You’ll notice the area looks familiar. That’s because it’s the same location as the Root of Nightmares Raid. This map looks like the biggest of the three with multiple hallways and open spaces to enjoy.

The three new PvP maps we’re getting in Destiny 2 look incredible. I recommend you watch the third Developer Livestream to see the walkthrough of the levels yourself. They are full of gorgeous details and look very symmetrical and simple but with enough layers to be interesting. I can’t wait to try them myself as I’m a fan of smaller, symmetrical maps. These new PvP maps are just another reason why right now is a great time for new and returning Destiny 2 players.
