There’s a new set of seasonal challenges to complete with the onset of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 Wilds. One of those Quests relates to a prism Apparatus, and many Fortnite players want to know where it is. We’ll answer that in this guide and detail the remainder of the Quest so you can quickly gain some XP and move on to other challenges.
Where is the Apparatus in Fortnite?
You’ll find the Apparatus in the jungle biome at one of the large temples. This particular temple is directly east of Rumble Ruins right before the gas station that hangs over the side of the cliff. We’ve marked it on the map below. The Apparatus itself is on the west side of the temple in an open chamber. Look for the broken staircase leading up to a landing at the base of the temple and you’ll spot the entrance to the small chamber containing the Apparatus.

The Apparatus itself is a large white crystal with a faint glow. It’s on a pedestal, so you can’t miss it. Interact with the Apparatus to acquire it. You’ll then take it to a nearby research site for analysis to complete the Quest. Keep in mind that you need to do both steps in the same match. You’ll need to get the Apparatus again if you attempt this Quest in another match.
The research site is fortunately not far, so you should be able to complete the Quest in the first try. Head to the east side of the same temple and look for the research equipment at the base of the temple there. You’ll spot a red crate with a laptop on it. Interact with it to submit the Apparatus for study with Trace and complete the Quest.
