Dead Island 2 Michaels Safe Key

Where to find Michael’s Safe key in Dead Island 2

If only we knew the code.

The keys in Dead Island 2 are a massive part of the its loop. The game shows you crates that you cannot open until you progress further in the main story, spawning special zombies that drop keys. Some of these can be pretty hard to find, and others not so much, but there are too many in the game to even count. Every area you go into has a few different locked containers that you need to find the key for at a later point in Dead Island 2. One of these is the safe in Michael’s house in Beverly Hills. Here’s our guide on where to find Michael’s Safe key in Dead Island 2.

Where to find Michael’s Safe key in Dead Island 2

Michael’s Safe is something you can find while searching for Michael pretty early on in the main quest of Dead Island 2. When you enter his house in search of him, the safe is right in front of you in an entertainment center on the far wall of the living room of his house. To find the key though we’re going to need to progress the main story a little further.

To get Michael’s Safe key in Dead Island 2, all you need to do is progress the main story quest to a location outside of Michael’s house for the key-dropping zombie to spawn. I personally had better luck when the story moved to the next area, and came back to Beverly Hills to find the zombie.

Once you’ve left Michael’s house in the main story, and have at least gone to the next house in the main quest, come back to Michael’s house. Wandering around his estate you should see an enemy that has the name ‘Michael’s Protégé’. This is the enemy that drops Michael’s Safe key, which is the key you’re looking for.

Your mileage may vary on where this zombie spawns, for me it was near Michael’s pool in his house, but if you check around Michael’s house and the surrounding area, you should be able to find this zombie.

Once you have the key, go back to Michael’s Safe and open it up to reveal your prize.
