Blizzard’s President Mike Morhaime has revealed that the World of Warcraft expansion Wrath of the Lich King will be released this side of Christmas in time for the holiday sales rush.Blizzard had not set a release date for the new World of Warcraft expansion, Blizzard simply don’t set exact dates until they know the game is polished and ready. However, during the recent Blizzard/Activision conference call, Mike Morhaime stated ” We have said that it will be coming out this year. I can tell you it’s not coming in the July to September quarter.”Some good news there for World of Warcraft players, the Beta is now truly underway and it looks like Christmas will be spent in front of the PC and not with the relatives.
