XDefiant Beta: Best weapons to use, ranked

Every soldier is only as good as their tools.

XDefiant is an upcoming FPS that has character classes similar to CS:GO, gunplay and modes similar to Call of Duty, and many weapons to choose from. Like all shooters, XDefiant has some guns that outperform the others. If you want to know the best weapons in XDefiant, you’ve come to the right place.

Best guns in XDefiant, ranked

While there are five character classes to play as in XDefiant, every class gets access to the same guns. From SMGs to Sniper Rifles, here are the best weapons in XDefiant.

  1. M4A1
  2. MP7
  3. RPK-74
  4. ACR 6.8
  5. TAC-50
  6. AK-47
  7. SVD
  8. Vector .45 ACP
  9. M16A4
  10. P90

Best assault rifle – XDefiant

The best assault rifle in XDefiant, which doubles as the best gun in the game, is the M4A1. What makes the M4A1 the best gun is its versatility and well-rounded balance. While it dominates at mid to long ranges, it has a lot of utility at short ranges as well.

If for some reason you don’t like the M4A1, the ACR 6.8 is the next best assault rifle. It’s accurate and has better recoil control, but less overall time to kill compared to the M4A1. You might also like the AK-47 which is a solid assault rifle or the M16A4 which is a well-rounded burst weapon.

Best SMG – XDefiant

The MP7 is the best SMG in XDefiant. If you’re playing up close and personal, the best option is to use the MP7 because of its high fire rate and mobility.

If you want something a little more reliable at mid-range, the Vector .45 ACP is a solid option although it’s not better than an assault rifle. The P90 is another solid option thanks to its big magazine size, but it doesn’t outperform the MP7.

Best LMG – XDefiant

There aren’t many good LMGs in XDefiant but one that is really great is the RPK-74. As you’d expect in a great LMG, the RPK-74 has a lot of ammo and high damage. Though its slower fire rate isn’t great for close fights, it is very reliable when you want to eliminate multiple targets at medium range.

Best sniper rifle – XDefiant

Sniper rifles can be very good in XDefiant and the best one is the TAC-50. Of course, snipers rock at long range, but you can also be very deadly at close to mid-ranges with the TAC-50 thanks to one-shot kill quick scoping.

Best marksman rifle – XDefiant

If your weapon of choice is a semi-automatic marksman rifle, then the go-to is the SVD. The SVD is very competitive thanks to its ability to two-shot enemies. Besides being arguably the worst option for close range fights, the SVD is a beast everywhere else and can compete with assault rifles.
