Zenless Zone Zero’s beta starts early August

Roguelike anime action.

Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse is rolling out new games left and right, with its latest creation being the upcoming action game Zenless Zone Zero. This game is reportedly a departure from Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact’s RPG style, transitioning into action RPG gameplay instead. HoYoverse often holds a brief Closed Beta for its new releases and new versions for Genshin Impact, and it’ll do the same soon for Zenless Zone Zero. August will be your chance to get an early look at HoYoverse’s newest adventure.

According to an official news post, Zenless Zone Zero will have its first beta on August 5. This is a small-scale “Tuning Test,” and will only be available for a small number of players. The window to sign up for the first Tuning Test is only a few days, ending on July 27, so you’ll have to sign up as quickly as possible if you want to nab a spot. The end of the test hasn’t yet been revealed. You can head to the official Zenless Zone Zero website to sign up for the closed beta or click this link.

More gacha action

Zenless Zone Zero takes place in a futuristic and urban world. Players control beings known as Proxies who participate in battles in New Eridu. You enter environments in The Hallows, which will be dangerous and randomized environments, adding a roguelike element to the game. You’re able to take advantage of dual identities in the game, controlling two different personalities per character.

The beta test is only be available for players on iOS or PC, so Android users will have to take a back seat for the first closed beta. Be sure to sign up for the closed beta before July 26 to secure your spot. Meanwhile, if you aren’t aware of the cyperpunkish action awaiting you in New Eridu, check out the official gameplay trailer below to see if you’re interested.
