PC Game Release Date List 2017 – 2018

Star Control: Origins (Stardock): 2017 (second half)

Recommended Videos

The first Star Control game since Stardock purchased the name rights from Atari. This prequel will follow a similar action-adventure structure to the prior games, with galaxies to explore, aliens to meet, and weirdness to encounter.

2018 – 2019

A Way Out (Hazelight): 2018

Josef Fares (Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons) is writing and directing this co-op only prison break title. Get Leo and Vincent out of there, together.

Anthem (BioWare): 2018

Anthem, it turns out, is an open-world cooperative action-RPG. Players are “Freelancers”, who go outside the walls of the city into the dangerous wilderness beyond to… do missions, and stuff. Looks a bit like BioWare’s take on Destiny.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown (Project Aces): 2018

The Unreal Engine 4 powered entry in the Ace Combat series was recently pushed back to 2018.

BattleTech (Harebrained Schemes): Early 2018

Jordan Weisman’s turn-based videogame adaptation of his own BattleTech universe is due next year.

Biomutant (Experiment 101): Early 2018

Former Just Cause devs return to the open world with an RPG about adorable creatures who can recode their genetic structures and do martial arts.

Code Vein (Bandai Namco): 2018

Third-person action RPG set in a vampyric dystopia. Has more than a hint of Anime Bloodborne about it. Made by the God Eater team.

Crackdown 3 (Reagent Games): Spring 2018 – Windows 10 only

Not mentioned during Microsoft’s E3 2016 show, but confirmed afterwards, Crackdown 3 will be another title appearing on PC as a Windows 10 exclusive. Now with more Terry Crews.

Ubisoft’s open world driving title gets a sequel in 2018.

Darksiders 3 (Gunfire Games): 2018

The Darksiders series continues, with Fury embarking on a quest to destroy physical versions of the Seven Deadly Sins. One for Catholics everywhere.

Devil May Cry HD Collection (Capcom): 13 March 2018

Final Fantasy XV (Square Enix): Early 2018

Coming to the PC with all the Season Pass stuff bundled in, and a special first-person mode.

GreedFall (Spiders): 2018

17th Century Europe meets nature magic on the island of GreedFall in the latest Spiders RPG.

GTFO (10 Chambers): 2018

Payday 2 designers return with another four player co-op title. This time against aliens.

Jurassic World Evolution (Frontier Developments): Summer 2018

Now it’s your turn to try to keep the dinosaurs contained. New city/park builder from Frontier.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance (Warhorse Studios): 13 February 2018

Currently running a beta, but confirmed to now be coming in 2017. Still, it’s likely that people with that early build will continue to see updates up to release for this medieval-themed RPG. A fairly sizable earner on Kickstarter, Kingdom Come is going for period accuracy, first-person melee combat and classless character progression. Sounds (loosely) like Mount & Blade, which is not a bad point of reference by any means.

Mega Man 11 (Capcom): Late 2018

A new 2.5D Mega Man title, on the way to PC.

Metro Exodus (4A Games): ‘Autumn’ 2018

Artyom is the protagonist once more, and the game has the survivors fleeing the ruins of the Moscow Metro “on an epic, continent-spanning journey.”

Monster Hunter World (Capcom): 2018

This Monster Hunter kind of spin-off is coming to PC after consoles (so after ‘Early 2018’).

Mugsters (Reinkout Games): 2018

An ‘action-packed puzzler’ in which you rescue prisoners and escape from aliens in sandbox levels. Vehicles, traps, and physics will all aid (or hinder) you.

Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom (Level-5): 23 March 2018

Releasing at the same time as the PS4 version, this (seemingly) stand-alone sequel will be on PC too. Help King Evan unite the world and liberate his cat people. Studio Ghibli staff are involved again, so it looks lovely.

One Piece: World Seeker (Ganbarion): 2018

Open world title in which you control Luffy on a new island.

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire (Obsidian): Q1 2018 (estimated)

The sequel to Obsidian’s Pillars of Eternity will send you (and some familiar companions) to the Deadfire Archipelago. The God Eothas has awoken and is none too pleased with rumours of his demise.

Pit People (The Behemoth): Q1

Steam

Battleblock Theater and Castle Crashers have done awfully well for Behemoth and Pit People. The game will be fully released at the start of 2018 after entering Early Access in Janury 2017.

Project Hospital (Oxymoron Games): 2018

The hospital sim makes a return. In this game, players will have to build their own hospital or use predefined templates before jumping in as a doctor to heal the sick. There will be stacks of objects to fill the hospital with before getting down to the task of management.

State of Decay 2 (Undead Labs): Spring 2018 – Windows 10 only

Undead Labs’ popular open world zombies-and-antsy-survivors title is getting a sequel. The good news is this one adds four player co-op. The bad news is it’ll be Windows 10 only on PC.

System Shock (Nightdive): 2018

Nightdive will be “rebooting and re-imagining” the great System Shock in 2018. Most of the additions appear cosmetic or functional in nature (modern graphics, mouse controls), level design seems like it will largely remain unaltered.

Thief of Thieves (Skybound): Early 2018

One of Robert Kirkman’s other comic book series’ becomes a game in 2018. You’ll follow the thiefy development of Celia, from her early years to becoming an accomplished sneak. The trailer gives it a ‘Season One’ subheading, so this may be episodic.
