To be fair, this isn’t a permanent price drop as much as a one-off sale. Still, it makes you wonder if Bethesda is feeling the heat from the competition. Wildstar just came out the day before, and the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor limited alpha is already up.
The critical reception of The Elder Scrolls Online is also not as stellar as Bethesda would have liked. Elder Scrolls has its dedicated fans, so Bethesda could maximize the money they make out of it if they play their cards right. It’s just telling that it went on sale for so much so quickly.
