Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered

Assassin’s Creed III Remastered Is Arriving In March And It Looks Gorgeous

Make no mistake, Assassin’s Creed games have always been known for their visual and stylistic flair. Whether it’s the ancient temples of Jerusalem, the majestic city of Florence, or the wondrous locales of Greece, the series has dazzled fans often. Assassin’s Creed III is no different, featuring the great American outdoors. The remastered version is set to arrive for PCs on March 29. Check out the comparison trailer below showcasing the graphical differences between the original (released in 2012) and the remastered version:

Remastered Creed III

As you can see from the trailer, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered has its environments rendered in more striking detail. Colors are rendered more vividly. What was once a daytime walk with dreary grey is now a hazy sepia tone. Fields of flowers and even flickering candlelight flames feel as though they’re part of a living, breathing world. And yes, it will also have native 4K resolution support. The series’ brand new Anvil Next engine powers the upgraded graphics, presentation, AI, and mechanics.

Of course, the visuals of Assassin’s Creed III weren’t exactly its pitfall. It was actually due to a number of glitches and uncompelling writing (at least compared to the previous games) which marred what could’ve been an unforgettable experience. Still, if you’re looking to relive the adventures of Connor Kenway, aka Ratonhnhakéton, then you’ll probably be excited to dive right in. Assassin’s Creed III Remastered also includes all the game’s solo DLC, including The Tyranny of King Washington where the once-great Founding Father becomes corrupted by an Apple of Eden, leading to the despot’s bid for power.

But that’s not all — you also get Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered, starring Aveline de Grandpré. Liberation was originally a PlayStation Vita game that released alongside Assassin’s Creed III. Its HD version released in 2014 for PCs. This remastered iteration promises to look more visually stunning than previous releases.

As mentioned, Ubisoft will package these games together and make them available on March 29. However, if you already have Assassin’s Creed Odyssey‘s season pass, you’ll have access to the two remastered games as well. Feel free to check out the official website for additional information.
