Halo Infinite Online Co Op Campaign Test Launch

The Halo Infinite co-op test is live, with invites going out

Finish the fight as a team.

Halo Insiders, check your notifications: the Halo Infinite network co-op test has gone live. Eligible insiders should now have a invite to download a test flight to try out via Steam. The test runs from today until August 1. It should be plenty of time to gather some fellow Master Chiefs, kill some Grunts, and try out the new Mission Replay option.

As it is a separate build, your current progress in Halo Infinite won’t carry over. Every player will start from scratch. Collectibles like data pads, as well as Spartan Cores, are shared among everyone in a party. Developer 343 Industries detailed quite a bit about the Halo Infinite co-op test yesterday via a live playthrough. But the team included everything you should know in an overview over at the Halo Waypoint website.

“When the Fireteam Leader starts a co-op campaign session, all players in the Fireteam will be prompted to select their save file,” the overview reads. “Using the selected save files, the Fireteam’s campaign progress is aggregated so that the session’s progress reflects content that all members have completed. This allows all progress made in co-op sessions to be applied to each player’s individual save file.”

A whole army of Chiefs

Invites are getting sent to Halo Insiders. To throw your hat in the ring, you’ll need to head to the Halo Waypoint website and follow the steps to become an Insider. Invitations are going out through the site and via email. There are also additional instructions once you get your key. So be sure to go through those, and download the game before your co-op session.

The Halo Infinite co-op campaign test is live, but it is still a test. It’s simply to help 343 fine-tune the mode before it launches as part of Season 2. More information can be found at the website.
