Pathfinder WOTR: Inevitable Excess — Portal of Wishes guide

The wormhole isn't really an a-hole.

The Portal of Wishes is one of the errands in Pathfinder: Wrath of the RighteousInevitable Excess DLC. The idea here is to find a bunch of magical items so you can place them in the correct containers, allowing you to speak to a sentient wormhole. Here’s our Pathfinder: Wrath of the RighteousInevitable Excess Portal of Wishes guide to help you complete this sidequest.

Gathering the Items

To get the Portal of Wishes errand in Pathfinder: Wrath of the RighteousInevitable Excess, you’ll need to talk to Aranka in your camp/hub. She’ll show up once you’re done with A Threat to This World and the Other Side of Threshold dungeon. You’ll find her along the sloping path leading to the main area where all the other NPCs are. Agree to help her, and the Free Crusaders Camp/Azata Court will appear as a location in the storybook navigation options.

Once you’ve arrived, you’ll see the aforementioned portal talking to a random NPC who wants to find love. From there, go ahead and explore the area. You’ll notice piles of rubbish and chests scattered about. While you can pick up a bunch of junk, the most important items are the Extremely Pretty Feather, Mirror That Makes Everything Look Better, and Bell. Likewise, there’s a Moldbloom Root that’s required for the His Majesty’s Anguish sidequest.

Anyway, once you’ve got all the stuff you need, head to the mechanical device and place the items in the correct chests:

  • Musical Offerings – Bell
  • Beautiful Offerings – Feather
  • Expensive Offerings – Mirror

Order vs. Chaos

This will allow you to talk to the Portal of Wishes in Pathfinder: Wrath of the RighteousInevitable Excess. Now, you’ll need to make a decision:

  • Order – You’ll want to get the portal to close, which means thinking of ways to trick it, then following that by saying that it has to stop dishing out anomalies.
  • Chaos – Leaving the portal on its own or saying that it’s not quite dangerous.

As usual, if you’re going for the regular endings, then the choice really up to how you’ll want to roleplay. However, for the Paradox secret ending, you’ll need an equal number of Order and Chaos points toward the end.
