Tears of the Kingdom: What are clean weapons?

Clean weapons in Tears of the Kingdom are weapons that deal more damage, have higher durability, and come with a special perk. For example, a clean weapon might have a bonus that enables it to have quicker charged attacks. Clean weapons are very good, especially when Fused with a Stone Talus heart, which is why you’ll want to find them.

Tears of the Kingdom: Where to find clean weapons

Since there is no way to clean weapons in TOTK, you need to find clean weapons. The only way to find clean weapons is in the Depths, a massive labyrinth area underneath Hyrule that can be reached by jumping down the huge holes covered in Gloom on the Surface.

Once you are in the Depths, you’ll want to find and activate as many Lightroots as you can because they will illuminate the surrounding area. If you’re traversing through the Depths, you’ll need to throw Brightbloom Seeds which will illuminate a small area. What you are looking for is a shadowy soldier figure on top of a pile of rocks.

Once you see a shadowy soldier figure on top of a pile of rocks, you’ll want to climb up the rocks and take the weapon they are holding. The weapon these shadowy figures hold is always clean, and this is the only way to get clean weapons in TOTK.

Besides legendary weapons like the Sword of the Hero, clean weapons are generally considered some of the best weapons in the game. To make your clean weapon even better, be sure to Fuse it with something with high attack power. If you don’t want to lose that item that grants high attack power, be sure to use the duplicate technique.
