Where to find Spring of Wisdom in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

A knowledgeable search.

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll scour the Hyrule countryside in search of new shrines, springs, dungeons, and towns. The springs have fallen into disrepair, unfortunately. They typically occupy ruins overgrown with vegetation or otherwise blocked from sight. Here is our guide telling you where to find the Spring of Wisdom in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom – where to find Spring of Wisdom

You can visit the Spring of Wisdom and pray to the goddess statue to initiate the Goddess Statue of Wisdom side quest. It is one of three related side quests that seek to restore the Mother Goddess Statue to her former position within the Forgotten Temple.

To find the Spring of Wisdom, look near the peak of Mount Lanayru. When you are searching for the spring, the easiest approach is to first find Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower. Located not quite due north of Hateno Village, it towers from the highest portion of the mountain, overlooking the eastern sea. It’s difficult to miss. When you activate it, you also activate a convenient fast travel portal.

From the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower, head east. Between some boulders, you’ll find a point where you can drop and descend to a lower area. The spring is out in the open. You will see the goddess statue on her pedestal, near the cliff’s face. Icy water extends from her base, but you can cross to her on floating platforms.

Whenever you visit Mount Lanayru, make sure you’ve ingested something that provides Cold Resistance. Otherwise, wear pieces of the Snowquill armor set. I prefer the latter approach. The region is very cold at this elevation and Link will start shivering the minute you arrive. It’s easy to forget about his body heat if you’ve been traveling elsewhere.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on the Nintendo Switch.
