Disguise and persuade.

Throughout the many quests in Starfield, there are objects to complete. Some are required, while others are optional. If they’re optional, they may be risky, but they result in a higher chance of success. In this instance, the Access Is Key quest in the Ryujin Industries faction questline gives you an optional objective. It asks you to find a Security Guard Uniform, but if you’re not sure how to get one, let me explain where to find one in this Starfield Access Is Key quest.

Access Is Key is the fourth Ryujin Industries quest, and you must steal a Security Keycard. To increase the chances of you successfully looting this item, you’ll want to find yourself a uniform. How you can get a Security Guard Uniform for the Access Is Key quest in Starfield is on the second floor of Neon Security HQ.

This quest will have you persuade the Neon Security Chief for the keycard. In the same building, which is Neon Security HQ in Neon, I went right up to the second floor. Make sure no one is looking, and open the lockers right at the top of the stairwell.

You should see a folded Security Guard Uniform, ready for you to pilfer. I found one in the third locker. Now, just dress yourself up, and you can chat up the Neon Security Chief to give you the keycard. Or there’s always pickpocketing, but persuading with the uniform is easiest.

There are also some other ways to get by with this quest. You can always purchase a suit or uniform, both will work. Aito Suzuki in Ryujin Tower sells multiple different suits and uniforms to disguise yourself. But honestly, because the Security Guard Uniform is so easy to nab, you may as well go the simple route. Don’t waste your Credits.
