Fortnite players can somehow use air bending while being knocked down

A slick trick.

The Avatar Mythics are the highlight of Fortnite currently, and players are discovering strange glitches that can happen with them. Did you know that Fortnite players have figured out that you can use air bending while being knocked down?

Air bending is possible when you’re knocked down in Fortnite

While scrolling on TikTok, I noticed an interesting video about a Fortnite player who managed to use air bending while being knocked down. In the video, you can see this player is knocked but is somehow still able to Air Wheel and then Air Jump at the end to get back to their teammate. So is this real?

For now, it seems like this can happen through a glitch of some kind. I tested this out myself in my own Fortnite game and I unfortunately couldn’t recreate it. Although you probably can’t initiate air bending after being knocked, my guess is that this can happen if you get knocked while using air bending.

It would make sense, and it seems like a couple of players in the replies were able to recreate it. One player said that it worked for them but not as good as it did in the video. Someone also said it only happened for about a second, so perhaps this player in the TikTok video was extremely lucky.

I’ve yet to find another video showing this strange phenomenon, but you’re free to try it out in your own game. Perhaps Epic Games will patch it out, but I don’t think it’s an easy enough glitch to get for the developers to care. Nevertheless, it seems like there’s a chance you can make a quick getaway if you get knocked while using the airbending Mythic.

Otherwise, if you’re enjoying the Avatar quests in Fortnite, you’ll want to learn about the fastest ways to earn Chi and level up the Avatar Elements pass to earn all the unlockable rewards.
