The new Chapter 5 Season 2 Medallions have unique effects.

There are four new Medallions to collect on the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 map. Just like last season, you can get them by defeating bosses in certain POIs on the island. Since Myths and Mortals is a Greek mythology-themed season, you’ll be facing off against the likes of Hades, Ares, Cerberus, and Zeus if you want to claim these Medallions for your own.

The rewards are more than worth it, however, especially for aggressive players who want to secure as many eliminations as possible. The Medallions also pair beautifully with the new Greek Mythics added to the game in Chapter 5 Season 2, so there’s a lot of fun to be had with the new loadout possibilities in this update.

Fortnite C5S2 Medallion Aspects Explained

There are four Medallions that you can collect in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. Each of them is obtained by defeating a specific boss at certain POIs around the map.

MedallionBossEffect
Aspect of CombatAresPrepare for war! Imbues ranged weapons with increased damage. Reveals your location on the map.
Aspect of SiphonHadesPower to restore vitality! Grants healing siphon effect on enemy eliminations. Reveals your location on the map.
Aspect of AgilityCerberusTravel through the spirit world! Gain charges of Underworld Dash over time for quick bursts of mobility. Reveals your location on the map.
Aspect of SpeedZeusThe vigor of Zeus! Run faster and jump higher while sprinting. Reveals your location on the map.

As you can probably tell from the descriptions of each Aspect, these Medallions are significantly more powerful than the ones that came before. Ares’ Medallion grants you bonus weapon damage, and Hades’ Medallion restores your HP with every kill you get. Cerberus’ Medallion lets you use a special movement ability called Underworld Dash, and Zeus’ Medallion increases your running speed and jumping height.

These Medallions provide huge buffs to your damage output and mobility, which is a godsend in modes like Zero Build. Just like before, though, the tradeoff is having your location revealed on the map at all times with a yellow circle. You can also use this feature to your advantage to track down other Medallion owners and steal their Aspects for yourself.

With multiple Medallions in your inventory, you’ll basically be a demigod capable of taking on Mount Olympus. When the Avatar: The Last Airbender event starts later in the season, you’ll be able to create insanely powerful loadouts with these Medallions, Greek Mythics, and waterbending powers.
