All stable locations in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

Horse sense.

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you can visit stables to board or easily retrieve your horses. You can also spend the night to restore energy. They serve other purposes, however. You can typically find side quests, some of which are necessary to acquire rare armor. In general, you should visit as many stables as possible during your journey throughout Hyrule. Here is our guide outlining all stable locations in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom – all stable locations

There are 14 proper stable locations spread throughout the Hyrule overworld, not counting mini-stable locations such as Lookout Landing. The stables consist of large tents with a horse-shaped head. During daylight, you’ll see rings of smoke rising in a column above them. The stables are easy to spot, even from a distance. Four stable locations are positioned near Great Fairy fountains. They all have a nearby shrine for fast travel purposes. Below are screenshots depicting a few stable locations in each of the four quarters that comprise the overall Hyrule map.

Northwest Hyrule stable locations

  • Snowfield Stable – Dress warmly and head to the Tabantha Tundra, northwest from the entrance to the Forgotten Temple.
  • Tabantha Bridge Stable – Located almost directly due west from Lookout Landing, on the east side of the long bridge spanning Tanagar Canyon.
  • New Serenne Stable – Travel northwest from Lookout Landing and cross the Regencia River to find this stable still further to the northwest. I probably visit it less than any other stable in the game. There aren’t a lot of nearby points of interest, geoglyph aside.
  • Woodland Stable – Located northeast from Lookout Landing. It’s a useful junction, near the Great Fairy Tera, and along the south end of the road leading to the Great Hyrule Forest.

Northeast Hyrule stable locations

  • Foothill Stable – Not far northwest from the hill where you find Upland Zorana Skyview Tower to the southeast. It rests near the shore of Cephla Lake.
  • South Akkala Stable – Find it southwest of the nearby Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower. There aren’t a whole lot of points of nearby interest.
  • East Akkala Stable – This stable is your last point of respite in the northeast, and is due south from Malanya Spring.

Southeast Hyrule stable locations

  • Riverside Stable – Find this stable southeast from Lookout Landing. I visit fairly often, since there is a nearby forest where it is easy to harvest Hylian Tomato.
  • Dueling Peaks Stable – This useful stable is located south from Kakariko Village and west from Hateno Village, plus it’s not far north from the Great Fairy Cotera.
  • Highland Stable – Travel just about due south from Popla Foothills Skyview Tower to reach this stable.
  • Lakeside StableFaron can be a dangerous region. This stable is located not far north of the Faron Sea, and due west from Lurelin Village.

Southwest Hyrule stable locations

  • Gerudo Canyon Stable – Just before you arrive at the northeastern edge of the Gerudo Desert, you’ll pass through the canyon where this stable is located, west from Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower.
  • Outskirt Stable – Located right near the Great Fairy Kaysa, this stable is not far west from Hyrule Field Skyview Tower.
  • Wetland Stable – Head east and veer slightly south from Lookout Landing to find this central stable, which lies northwest from Kakariko Village and just west of the expansive Lanayru Wetlands.

Now you know where to find all standard stable locations in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Visit them often to make your journey easier.
