Apex Legends’ Loba will receive a well-deserved buff in Season 6

Apex Legends Loba

The release of Apex Legends Season 6 is just around the corner. This may be one of the most significant updates, as Season 6 is set to bring map changes, new crafting, and more. However, an Apex Legends developer has confirmed that Loba will also receive a buff. Loba was the legend released in Season 5, with the black market boutique ultimate ability allowing her to loot nearby boxes. In addition, her tactical ability allows her to teleport to places that are difficult to reach, or escape. Lastly, her eye-for-quality passive ability allows you to spot loot through walls.

Will Loba become a stronger Legend?

In a Reddit post, a fan asked what was in store for Apex Legends Loba in the upcoming season. Here, the senior game designer, Daniel Klein, started explaining that “Loba is definitely weak.”

“She started the season off strong and fell to the weakest spot by the end; that seems to be the way most of our new legends behave,” he continued. Also, he confirmed that the buff was coming but that it would not be much. Ultimately, this is because the developers are limited technically by what they can do. “For instance, if we wanted to let you take 3 or 4 items out of her ult, that would require UI work, so that’s not happening any time soon.”

Although the buff does not sound like it will be a game-changer, it will be welcomed by Loba mains. Arguably, it is true that Loba became one of the weakest Legends in the game. Loba has a set of unique abilities compared to any other legend. However, she is certainly not a diverse legend. No specific details were given surrounding the buff.  Players will have to wait until Season 6 to see what Respawn has in store for Loba. It will be interesting to see if Loba receives an additional buff in the future once developers have access to the resources they need.
