What to buy for your Nintendo superfan

Although there is a huge amount of Nintendo gifts out there, that certainly doesn’t mean they are all worth buying. In fact, some gifts just aren’t that cool. It could take days, if not years, to go through it all. Thankfully, I have done it for you, and here are some of my personal favorite Nintendo gifts.

Nintendo Plushie

My immediate go-to for the perfect Nintendo gift would be a plushie of their favorite character. There are so many available, and even if your recipient isn’t a plushie fan, I’m sure they will still treasure them. In some cases, they can become collector’s items.

If you don’t already know, it’s probably best to ask what they’re currently playing. You can work from there and choose an appropriate character. Otherwise, just play it safe and get one of the household names like Mario or Bowser. These two guys never look out of place on a bookshelf or media station.

A personal favorite of mine is the green shell. I used to own one, and it was the perfect thing to pelt across my living room at family members. Harmless stress relief.

Nintendo LEGO set

Take the world of Nintendo off the screen and into their hands with an affiliated LEGO Nintendo set. These come in all shapes and designs, and besides being a fun activity for you to both get involved in, they also look great when assembled.

Many of the legendary scenes from Nintendo games are available as gifts. Nintendo is a household name, and so are a lot of their characters. These LEGO sets create an instantly recognizable scene to display. They would look perfect sat on your Nintendo nerd’s desk or proudly displayed on a shelf.

With a little creativity, they could even start combining them into some sort of mish-mash of Nintendo worlds. This gift would work for the younger Nintendo fan, as a project you can both get involved in — or for the more discerning nerd’s hands.

Piranha Plant lamp

A lamp might seem like a bit of a cop-out when it comes to gifts, but when it’s a poseable Piranha Lamp, all is forgiven. This Nintendo gift will sit anywhere from a bedside table to the prime position next to graduation and baby pictures.

The neck can be bent and twisted to give the perfect angle, whether it is being used for reading or late-night Nintendo playing. The mouth is lit up from the inside by a single bright LED that is gently diffused between the chomping teeth.

This gift for Nintendo fans is not only great looking but practical at the same time. Who doesn’t need a little more light in their life? I think it’s just a shame it doesn’t come in life-size floor lamp style. That would really make a statement.

An old-school SNES

Snes
Amazon

Depending on your Nintendo nerd’s age, they may remember back to the days of the Super Nintendo. This was the early days and, for some, the golden era of console gaming. Now, with the power of technology, it is possible to bring those days back.

Now, you can buy a classic SNES console loaded with hundreds of games and the ability to plug into a HDMI port. It comes with all the classics and two controllers, so couch co-op can become a thing once again. There is nothing better than a bit of two-player SNES Mario Kart to really bring up old rivalries.

This gift is perfect for all ages. The games that come on the SNES are absolute classics in the library of Nintendo and gifts that keep on giving. Each of the hundreds of games can be enjoyed by anyone and picked up and played quickly. The design of the Super Nintendo is an instantly recognizable icon that would look great in any media station.

Super Mario costume

Now this stylish piece of evening wear can be sported in the office, at weddings, on a cruise, or just during daily activities. This Nintendo gift is highly stylish and would not look out of place in any situation. It is the mark of a distinguished person and should be worn at every opportunity.

The Mario costume can be found in both adult and child sizes. So if you really want to make a statement, you can get them for your whole group. The moustache, hat, and gloves are sure to let anyone know that you are all big fans of Nintendo.

As well as being incredibly fashionable, this Nintendo gift will also keep your recipient warm in the winter. There is no chance that the cold is getting through those thick gloves and hats. Also, the moustache can work as a way to keep your runny nose at bay. Stylish and practical!
