Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Netrunner build

The Netrunner in Cyberpunk works from a distance, disrupting people’s Cyberware, ruining electronics, and then stepping in with smart weapons to mop up any stragglers. The Netrunner build is heavy on Intelligence with a few perks in Body and Technical ability to really tweak it.

With a well-thought-out Netrunner build in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0, you can move around a room with your mind while keeping your physical being in one place. Devices and minds can be hacked with huge queues, unleashing chains of attacks that activate all at once. Often, unsafe explosive devices are placed in tactical positions that will explode and damage people, machines, or explosive barrels.

The Netrunner is the silent tactician, working from the shadows, six steps ahead of unsuspecting enemies. Here is the perfect Netrunner build you want to be going for in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0.

Perks and Skills

Intelligence – Push your intelligent attributes to a maximum of 20. You will want to be able to access all the top-level Intelligence perks. With the Intelligence skill tree, you will want to focus on filling the whole thing. This will give you maximum RAM, the ability to queue quickhacks, and devastating accuracy with your smart weapons.

A few stand-out perks in the Intelligence tree are Overclock, and Hack Queue. The former allows you to surpass your RAM capacity to the detriment of your health, while Hack Queue allows you to start loading up multiple hacks on one target.

Technical Ability – The center and left branches of the Technical Ability tree will be a great addition to any Netrunner build in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0. Focus more on the center before the left, as this will grant you more cyberware slots. These are a huge boost to any Netrunner. With the left side of the Technical Ability perk tree, you will be able to focus more on healing items. This branch is important to most builds in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0.

Body – Often overlooked in a Netrunner build is the Body section. Just because you’re a hacker doesn’t mean you can’t be buff too. Due to Overclocks nature, you will often be pushing your build to low health with RAM usage. The Adrenaline Rush perks through the center will allow you to boost your health way up when using health items. This will ensure, even when you’re hammering the quickhacks, you stay in good health.

Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Netrunner Quickhacks

To start using quickhacks, you first need a Cyberdeck. This Cyberdeck needs to be equal to or higher level to the quickhacks you want to use. Once installed, you can then load quickhacks up and start bringing the pain. These are some of the ones I found the most helpful in my own Netrunner 2077 2.0 Build.

Short Circuit – Your go-to quickhack for damage. It is cheap and yet endlessly effective. Applies a significant amount of damage and boosts your weak spot damage when fully upgraded.

Contagion – This quickhack spreads from enemy to enemy, meaning you can take down a crowd with ease. As it upgrades, it also gains 20% damage for every subsequent person it spreads. At it’s most upgraded, it affects all spreading effects.

Weapon Glitch – Disarm your opponents by rendering their weapons useless. This can also spread to more enemies and, once upgraded enough, will actually make weapons explode in their users’ hands.

Reboot Optics – This is fantastic for completely rendering an enemy useless, even in combat. It can be used to quietly relocate or completely break a chain of attack. A silent Netrunner needs to be able to move in silence in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0.

Any of the ultimate quickhacks are great to get your hands on for causing devastating damage.

Netrunner Weapons and Arms

Monowire and Smart Weapons are the Netrunner’s best friends in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0. The Monowire has a perk that recovers RAM in the Intelligence tree, and Smart Weapons are now your weapon of choice, thanks to the Intelligence tree.

If you also have Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, it becomes possible to equip a skill from the relic tree that applies a control quickhack to anyone hit by the Monowire’s fully charged attack.
