There are so many unique weapons in Starfield it’s hard to keep track of what’s best and what’s not. Here’s what the best sniper rifle is in Starfield, and how you can get it.

Starfield: Best sniper rifle and how to get it

Indisputably, the best sniper rifle in Starfield has to be the Magsniper. It’s unparalleled in its stats, with a range of 100 meters, around 86% accuracy, and a starting physical damage of 223. The Magsniper will weigh you down quite a bit with a mass of nearly 10. But it’s worth it for how incredible the stats are. Here is a more detailed breakdown of the unmodified Magsniper:

  • Physical damage: 223
  • Ammo: 6.5MM MI Array
  • MAG: 12
  • Fire Rate: 17
  • Accuracy: 86.1%
  • Range: 100
  • Mass: 9.55
  • Mods: Six
  • Value: 27790 Credits

There’s one important thing to note about the Magsniper. If you’re below level 30, you won’t find this rifle in any of the shops. You can buy the Magsniper in Starfield once you’re above level 30 at a few select weapon shops. These are:

  • Centaurion Arsenal: New Atlantis
  • Rowland Arms: Akila City
  • Neon Tactical: Neon
  • Kore Kinetics: Neon

The fact that you can add up to six mods on the Magsniper with its already amazing stats makes this a highly-impressive gun. Sadly, you just have to make sure you’re at the right character level. There are a few other great sniper rifles, if you’re interested. If you notice Hard Target, Old Earth Hunting Rifle, or Despondent Assassin in your weapon shop, it’s worth purchasing those. But honestly, I’d just wait until you’re level 30 and you have the Credits to purchase the Magsniper.
