Best Wuthering Waves Voucher of Reciprocal Tides 5-star Resonator choice

Which 5-star Resonator is the best choice?

As compensation for the various launch issues in Wuthering Waves, all players are receiving a special Voucher of Reciprocal Tides that lets them claim any standard 5-star in the game for free.

Unlike the Novice Convene and other beginner banners in Wuthering Waves, you don’t need to pull or use any Lustrous Tides to claim this 5-star Resonator. You’ll instantly unlock them with a special banner specifically designed for the Voucher of Reciprocal Tides, which will give your roster a huge boost with a free 5-star Resonator of your choice.

How to Use Voucher of Reciprocal Tides

To claim the Voucher of Reciprocal Tides, open your Wuthering Waves mailbox and you’ll see the ticket waiting for you as long as you’ve either reached Union Level 8 or unlocked the Convene (gacha) system after completing the initial tutorial quests in the main storyline.

Once you have the ticket in your inventory, a new banner will appear in the Convene menu called Beginner’s Choice Convene. This banner only accepts the Voucher of Reciprocal Tides, so make sure you don’t accidentally pull on another banner. Once you click on the banner, you’ll be prompted to select a 5-star Resonator. After a single pull using the Voucher, you’ll get that character guaranteed.

The Voucher of Reciprocal Tides will be available for one year, so as long as you log into Wuthering Waves before May 22, 2025, you can get a free 5-star of your choosing.

Best Voucher of Reciprocal Tides Choice in Wuthering Waves

You can choose any standard 5-star Resonator from the following list using your Voucher of Reciprocal Tides in Wuthering Waves.

  • Jianxin
  • Verina
  • Calcharo
  • Lingyang
  • Encore

Since Wuthering Waves also gives players two free 5-star Resonators via the Novice Convene banner and a separate Beginner’s Choice Convene, it’s best to save your Voucher of Reciprocal Tides until you’ve pulled at least one other 5-star Resonator so you don’t accidentally obtain a duplicate.

You can obtain three of the five standard 5-star Resonators for free in Wuthering Waves, so building your dream team is entirely possible with the help of the Voucher of Reciprocal Tides. First things first, though. If you don’t already have Verina, then you should use the Voucher of Reciprocal Tides to obtain her since she’s easily the best support unit in the game.

If you have Verina, your next best option for your free 5-star is a DPS unit of your choice. We recommend Calcharo, but Encore is another incredibly strong pick. Lingyang isn’t as popular as the rest of the standard 5-star Resonators, but he’s reasonably powerful too if you really like him.

Finally, if you need another solid support/DPS hybrid, then Jianxin is a great choice for your Voucher of Reciprocal Tides. Not only can she output some decent damage on her own, but she can generate shields and even slightly heal your team with her special ability. Plus, her Outro Skill greatly boosts the Resonance Liberation Ultimate damage of the next unit on the field, which is an amazing buff.

At the end of the day, though, your Voucher of Reciprocal Tides should be saved until you’ve obtained your first free 5-star Resonator so you can make an informed decision about what your team needs. It would suck to use your Voucher to claim Verina only to pull her from the Novice Convene, for example. You can use your guaranteed pulls to create a full 5-star team of your choosing, so clearing endgame content in Wuthering Waves shouldn’t be an issue if you’re smart about it.
