Black Orcs Blood Bowl 3

The Black Orcs are getting a team in Blood Bowl 3, watch ’em throw down

There will be blood. And vomit.

Fans of the Blood Bowl franchise are without a doubt waiting for kickoff this summer when the third entry in the series begins. Cyanide Studios and Nacon have been teasing new additions coming to the football-inspired blood sport, and things look bigger than ever. Speaking of which, the Black Orcs will be back with a dedicated team of brawlers for Blood Bowl 3. Think you can face their onslaught?

A new trailer details just how the Black Orcs will play in Blood Bowl 3. The primer introduces us to the several character types that will be available. Most notably are the Black Orcs themselves, which serve as the backbone of the team, however, you’ll also be able to make use of swift Goblins and a lumbering Troll.

The gameplay trailer breaks down just how each character type plays. As already mentioned, the Black Orcs will do most of the work, but you can bring Goblins in for rushing plays, while the Troll will provide extra muscle as needed. The Goblins make for excellent ball carriers, but you will need to protect them. Sometimes even from the follies of the Troll. Expectedly, the big guy lacks in brainpower, but makes up for it with brawn. You’ll literally need to keep an eye on him to ensure he doesn’t screw up and make any bad plays, but he does seem like the ultimate fighting force on the field.

Just like with any other team, you’ll need to leverage the abilities of the Black Orcs team in combination with suitable strategies to use the faction effectively in Blood Bowl 3. The Black Orcs are just one of four new teams showing up for the sequel. You can also expect the Imperial Nobility, Old World Alliance, and Chaos Renegades. Stay tuned for more info on the other fighting forces coming soon.

A thirst for blood and brew

In the meantime, I guess you can crack open a cold one of whatever it is you enjoy. That’s certainly what the developers would recommend, according to the Bugman’s Beer spoof beer ad they created to promote the game. Maybe we can at least get some merch mugs to pour our beverages into and pretend it’s a real thing.

You’ll be able to play as the Black Orcs when Blood Bowl 3 launches on Steam this August. The exact release date is still not known.
