Cyberpunk 2077 Smart Weapons Guide

Cyberpunk 2077: Best Smart weapons

Let the gun do the talking.

Smart weapons are arguably the most unique category of guns in Cyberpunk 2077. They take manual aiming out of the picture and instead automatically target anyone who’s in front of you. But they come in all shapes and sizes across a few different weapon types. So let’s round up some of the best Smart weapons in Cyberpunk 2077.

Before we get stuck into talking about these cool guns, there are a couple of things you should do. First up, you need the Smart Link Cyberware to be able to use auto-targeting. And since this is the main draw of this weapon class, you should get this as soon as possible. You should also poke around the Intelligence skill tree and check out the new perks to improve Smart weapon performance.

Pizdets

Pizdets is a new Smart weapon you can find in Dogtown in Phantom Liberty during the Spy in the Jungle Gig. This is a Smart Submachine Gun that boasts a lot of good stats. But the best part about this gun is that its fire rate increases with each shot. So as you start to empty a clip its damage per second will constantly increase. This gives it a brilliant edge over other Smart Submachine Guns. It also has a built-in suppressor so it’s not a bad fit for a sneaky build, though you’ll want to put plenty of points into the Cool tree to unlock the best stealth perks.

Skippy

Skippy is probably the most well-known Smart weapon in Cyberpunk 2077. He’s probably one of the most infamous. That’s right, I said he because this gun isn’t just a firearm. It’s a Smart Pistol with a built-in AI called Skippy. If you haven’t found it yet, head over to Heywood and look for a side quest marker in the southeast part of the district. Once you find Skippy, you’ll get a choice to make his shots lethal or non-lethal. You want to pick the Puppy mode here since he’ll permanently switch to the other mode after 50 enemies are downed.

Once in his lethal mode, Skippy will always target the head of enemies. This means you don’t need to work hard to take foes down. To complete Skippy’s side quest you will need to take it back to its previous owner. But you can always ignore that part of the quest if you want to take your new friend around Night City for longer.

Ashura

The Ashura is a Smart Sniper Rifle in Cyberpunk 2077 that packs a huge punch with its base damage. The main downside to the weapon is the fact that it can’t use a suppressor. So stealthy characters will have to look elsewhere for smart companions. But if you’re just looking for something that deals a lot of damage and can pick off enemies at a distance, look no further. You can get the Ashura at a few stores in Night City but your best bet is buying the crafting spec at the gun vendor in Corpo Plaza.
