With the release of its 2.0 update, Cyberpunk 2077 has a complete gameplay overhaul. One of the biggest changes can be seen with its new progression system. And it’s here that there are a bunch of new gameplay additions to take note of. One of the coolest on offer is an Air Dash, which is brand new to Cyberpunk 2077. Let’s talk about how you can get it for yourself.

Cyberpunk 2077: How to unlock Air Dash

Air Dash is likely going to be one of the first abilities you unlock. Thankfully, you don’t need to work too hard to get it. At the same time, you won’t get it immediately. Air Dash is located on the Reflexes skill tree and is the third node in the center column. You’ll need to unlock Slippery and fully upgrade Dash in order to get to Air Dash. So you’ll need at least six perk points to reach Air Dash from the start of this tree.

Now Air Dash has some pretty clear benefits right from the start. But it can be used to get you through various situations. Its main purpose is to get you up close to enemies in combat. And if there are foes hiding up above you, you can use Air Dash to more easily scale the environment. But Air Dash can also be used to speedily navigate the world in general. In fact, combining Air Dash with a bunny hop gets you going pretty fast. And if that’s not the ideal way to traverse a cyberpunk world I don’t know what is.

Suffice it to say, if you’re planning on making a melee-focused character in Cyberpunk 2077, Air Dash is almost mandatory. It’s far more useful than the regular Dash and having that extra mobility is extremely useful in tougher situations. But any class could benefit from Air Dash honestly. Even stealth-based classes could do with a way to quickly zip across a room in a pinch.
