Destiny 2: Season of Arrivals – Seed of Silver Wings guide

To obtain the Seed of Silver Wings artifact, all you need to do is complete the first story mission in Destiny 2: Season of Arrivals. That takes you to Savathun’s Court to defeat some of her Shriekers. Then, you’ll meet up with Eris in a beautiful area in Io where the Tree of Silver Wings (aka. the White Tree of Gondor) is located. You can see this in the featured image above. Your alts (second and third characters) will still need to complete this introductory mission just to obtain the Seed of Silver Wings artifact.

Mod selections

Below, you’ll see the selection of mods for the Seed of Silver Wings seasonal artifact. These are arranged by column.

Column 1 – These are the anti-champion mods for your weapons:

  • Anti-barrier Rounds – auto rifles and submachine guns
  • Overload Rounds – sidearms and hand cannons
  • Unstoppable Rounds – hand cannons
  • Overload Arrowheads – bows
  • Unstoppable Burst – pulse rifles

Column 2 – This has additional boosts for various weapon types. All of these mods cost one energy to socket:

  • Enhanced Pulse Rifle Loader (arms) – reload speed for pulse rifles
  • Enhanced Unflinching Rifle Aim (chest) – reduced flinch when using any rifle-type weapon
  • Enhanced Scatter Projectile Targetting (helmet) – increased target acquisition, accuracy, and ADS speed for auto rifles, pulse rifles, fusion rifles, sidearms, submachine guns, and machine guns
  • Enhanced Sword Scavenger (legs) – swords get larger bonus reserves when you pick up ammo
  • Enhanced Bow Loader (arms) – greatly increases the nocking speed of arrows

Column 3 – These mods provide you a chance of gaining additional glimmer via kills with certain weapon types, enemy types, or actions. All of these mods cost one energy and are socketed into your leg armor except for Prized Shooting:

  • Flourishing Blade – large amount of glimmer from sword kills
  • Prized Shooting – small amount of glimmer from hand cannon or sidearm kills; can be socketed into any armor piece
  • Automatic Prize – small amount of glimmer from auto rifle or submachine gun kills
  • Dimensional Tithes – small amount of glimmer from Taken kills
  • Ascendant Bounty – large amount of glimmer from killing Taken using finishers

Column 4 – These are mods related to disrupting champions:

  • Counter Charge (chest/3 energy) – gain Charged with Light when you or a fireteam member stuns any type of champion.
  • Unstoppable Pulse Rifle (arms/2 energy) – allows pulse rifles to fire a burst that can stun Unstoppable champions; since this is an armor mod, the effect will also work when you’re using exotic pulse rifles
  • Overload Grenades (chest/2 energy) –  Void grenades stun Overload champions
  • Breach Resonator (chest/1 energy) – gain melee and grenade energy via final blows with Anti-barrier weapons or when an Anti-barrier champion is stunned by a fireteam member
  • Inferno Whip (chest/2 energy) – Solar melees stun Unstoppable champions

Column 5 – These are high-end mods for utility purposes. All of these are socketed into your class item.

  • Oppressive Darkness (6 energy) – Void grenades weaken enemies
  • Solar Plexus (6 energy) – increased damage for Solar melee abilities and gain super energy when performing finishers while you have a Solar subclass active
  • Heavy Finisher (7 energy) – finishers generate heavy ammo; consumes one-half of your super bar
  • Volatile Conduction (6 energy)  – bonus Arc super damage if the super is activated while critically wounded
  • Guardian Angel (3 energy) – chance to generate healing orbs for you via kills with scout rifles, sniper rifles, bows, and linear fusion rifles

Among these choices, Oppressive Darkness tends to be the best one. This fan-favorite mod can be used against bosses, allowing them to take more damage from you and your teammates. It’s like its own Tether or Melting Point. Just be sure you’re using Void grenades with lingering effects such as Vortex (Hunters and Warlocks) or Suppressor/Voidwall (Titan).
