The Devil in Me premonitions guide – The scenes depicted in the pictures

This time, let’s discuss what the premonitions pertain to in The Devil in Me. There will be lots of spoilers ahead.

1. Explosion

• Chapter: Lake
• Scene: A speedboat explodes during the finale. Some of your characters may or may not be on it when this happens.

2. Turned

• Chapter: Unknown
• Scene: Jamie sees the back of someone’s head (probably Erin). She turns the body around, only to appear surprised. It seems that you need to get Erin killed early for this to happen (i.e., during Blackout).

3. Burnt

• Chapter: Ignition
• Scene: Charlie is burned alive. You can get this scene if you choose to force the door open twice.

4. United

• Chapter: Lighthouse
• Scene: Mark, Charlie, and Erin are reunited. Mark has plot armor, whereas Charlie and Erin can die a lot. Keep them alive and they’ll make it to the lighthouse, with Kate and Jamie arriving later.

5. Stabbed

• Chapter: Blackout
• Scene: Erin is stabbed by Du’Met in the neck. Attack Du’Met instead of taking the inhaler. Hit him, and he won’t like it.

6. Cured

• Chapter: Cliffside
• Scene: Charlie has to survive the entire time and make it to the Cliffside chapter. Then, while he’s hiding in the curing vat, you have to fail the QTE. The killer will finish him off here.

7. Uncanny

• Chapter: Lighthouse
• Scene: Kate sees “Mark,” who seems to be incapacitated. This leads to the Ultimatum chapter, an alternate finale.

8. Crushed

• Chapter: Director’s Suite
• Scene: Jamie decides to sacrifice herself since she’s unwilling to kill Kate. This is further discussed in our Glass Trap guide.

9. Dragged

• Chapter: Chase
• Scene: If Kate and Jamie both survived the Glass Trap, Du’Met will have Jamie in his grasp. As Kate, you can choose to save your rival.

10. Masked

• Chapter: Ultimatum
• Scene: During the alternate finale, choose to reject Du’Met’s offer twice. Alternatively, you can pretend to go along with his plan, then warn the other person on the line. Mark will succumb to poison gas. Also, Kate will have acid pumped into her veins, though this isn’t explicitly shown in the premonition.

11. Searching

• Chapter: Homestead
• Scene: Du’Met hears a noise in a small farmhouse. This is further discussed in our save/rescue the dog guide.

12. Spiked

• Chapter: Lake
• Scene: Mark gets impaled on the head of an axe. To get this death scene, Mark has to pass the initial QTEs so he can grab the weapon and slash Du’Met. However, in the next section, the killer will attempt to push his head down the blade. You can either fail the button-mashing QTEs, or have Kate go for the save and fail her aim-and-kick QTE.
