Dota 2 patch 6.84 out now

Dota 2‘s latest patch – the balance-altering 6.84 – has just launched, forcing everyone to re-learn how to play the game. Again.

6.84’s full patch notes can be read here, and you can take a look at my brief thoughts on them here. The short version is that there are lots of new items, lots of new little features, and a swathe of balance adjustments that should change the game’s landscape rather heavily. I’m not going to even attempt to go into detail here because I gave some brief initial thoughts before, and because, seriously, have you seen the size of the change log?

The 70MB patch should download whenever you next try to fire up Dota 2. And no, the above image has nothing to do with this patch; it’s from the comic associated with the last patch. It’s just great, and I wanted an excuse to use a picture of a deliriously happy Crystal Maiden.
