Far Cry 6 guide: Maceo Special Operations scenario

Hey, that's not Maceo Guidicelli.
Far Cry 6 Maceo Special Operations Guide

Maceo is one of the Special Operations that you can undertake in Far Cry 6. It takes place in a village devastated by a landslide. As usual, you’ll need to grab the PG-240X and bring it to safety. Here’s our Far Cry 6 guide to help you with the Maceo Special Operations scenario.

Far Cry 6 guide: How to complete the Maceo Special Operations scenario

If it’s your first time doing the Maceo Special Operations scenario in Far Cry 6, then you’ll want to take a look at the lay of the land.

Our goal is to move from the southeast starting point to the airbase in the northwest corner of the map.

As you can see in the image below, the shining red beacon in the distance is the airbase. The town itself is at the center of the zone and a ruined church is off to the side.

We don’t actually need to go to these areas for now. Instead, we can cut directly northwest by following the grassy hills. The path will take us through the Biovida plant and mines. These are important spots to remember.

Once you reach the airbase, eliminate the hostile soldiers and the officer. Pick up the keycard and check out the hangar to find the PG-240X storage.

Go ahead and claim the device, and be ready to make a run for it.

Since the PG-240X’s temperature will rise, you’ll want to beeline for these spots in the following order: mines -> Biovida plant -> cut across the road to reach the town square -> ruined church -> apartments near the exfiltration point.

All of these should have sources of water like fountains and water tanks to lower the device’s temperature.

Once you reach the escape point in the apartments, multiple soldiers will spawn. Use the nearby water sources to cool the device while eliminating your foes. Your last target here is a tank. The PG-240X is greatly affected by fire, so watch out if a blast manages to hit an area that’s close to you. Make sure you’ve got a rocket launcher or explosives to destroy it quickly. If not, you can use EMP grenades or the Volta Supremo to disable it before hijacking and killing the driver inside.

When you’re done with the Maceo Special Operations scenario in Far Cry 6, you’ll receive your rewards, including the Decontaminant Mask armor. It’s also possible that you need to finish this as part of Insurgency mode, a post-campaign activity.
