Today, Square Enix has announced both the launch date and the price point for the remastered versions of Final Fantasy X and X-2. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will come out on March 18, 2014 for the Playstation 3 at a price point of $39.99. In addition to the containing the original Playstation 2 games, which have been remastered in high definition, the collection will include Final Fantasy X: Eternal Calm (a prequel to X-2) and Final Fantasy X-2: Last Mission (a release featuring extra content and a new dungeon), both previously available only on the International versions.
Also available (for free, if you pre-order the collection now) is a limited edition which features “exclusive concept artbook packaging, featuring an elegant collection of concept art and commentary from the original Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 development teams”.
