While you’re roaming around Watatsumi Island, there’s a good chance that you’ve encountered the Moon-Bathed Deep world quest. Well, if you manage to obtain all four Spirit Pearls from the puzzles there, you’ll be able to complete the next stage. Here’s our Genshin Impact guide to help you with the Heart of Watatsumi puzzle.
Genshin Impact: Moon-Bathed Deep guide – Heart of Watatsumi puzzle
After you obtain all four Spirit Pearls in Genshin Impact‘s Moon-Bathed Deep world quest, open your quest tab and make sure that you’re tracking the next step. This one tells you to go to Sangonomiya Shrine to talk to Tsuyoko. She’ll reveal a location in the eastern part of the region.
Fast travel there and glide along the cliff overlooking the waterfalls. You should see a small cavern’s opening that’s blocked by a barrier. Go ahead and interact with this barrier and place all four Spirit Pearls to open it.
Inside, you’ll see a large chamber with a clam pedestal in the middle. There are also four Fish Statue puzzles here, similar to what you’ve seen while you’re going for the Fin of Watatsumi. Our goal here is also similar: interact with the Fish Statues so that they’re all facing the center of each area. Then, click the pedestal to complete that particular puzzle.
The difference here is that whenever you complete a puzzle, several Hydro Mimics will spawn (the mobs that appear during the Oceanid fight). The fourth puzzle is actually tougher since there are several waves here.
After all four puzzles are done, you’ll watch a short cinematic where water erupts from the corners. Talk to Tsuyoko and she’ll give you the Key of the Moon-Bathed Deep. This completes the Heart of Watatsumi puzzle in Genshin Impact.
Anyway, the Key of the Moon-Bathed Deep is a quest item, but there doesn’t seem to be any use for it now. Tsuyoko does tell you that it’s needed to enter Enkanomiya and that we’ll see her again in the future.
