Genshin Impact: Finding Jueyun Chili for Xiangling’s Ascension

Spice up your life.

Xiangling is one of the characters that you can have in your party in Genshin Impact. I find that she’s one of the best characters for DPS, especially if you haven’t obtained Diluc yet. Still, you’re going to have to farm Jueyun Chili as her Ascension material. Here’s our guide to help you out.

Genshin Impact: Xiangling’s Ascension material – Jueyun Chili locations

You don’t even need to purchase Wish microtransactions just to recruit Xiangling. In fact, all you’ll need to do is reach Adventure Rank 20 to unlock the Spiral Abyss dungeon. If you complete floor 3 – chamber 3, Xiangling will join your roster.

Now, much like Philanemo Mushrooms used for Barbara, Klee, and Mona, Xiangling requires a specific Ascension material: Jueyun Chili.

These appear in specific areas in Genshin Impact‘s world. More frequently, you’ll find these in Qingce Village, the same spot where you had a treasure hunt.

All you need to do is teleport to the waypoint in front of the village elder’s house. From here, roam around the village and head to the marked spots above to find Jueyun Chili. You’ll notice some nodes next to the houses.

There are a few more as you cross the bridges and go further down below to the rice paddies and river.

Note: You’ll find another material called a Glaze Lily in the rice paddies. This plant is Ningguang’s Ascension material.

Anyway, after grabbing all the Jueyun Chili in Qingce Village, check out the map for the area closer to Stone Gate (seen below).

The teleport waypoint is quite far, so you’ll have to climb the cliffs and make your way east. Once there, you’ll spot several Jueyun Chili nodes growing on the cliffside.

Many of these nodes are also clustered. You could pick up several of these, as well as a few more in close proximity.

Each Jueyun Chili node has three of these Ascension materials. All in all, with 15 nodes marked on the maps above, you’re looking at 45x Jueyun Chili each farming run. These should speed up Xiangling’s leveling process.

However, keep in mind that Genshin Impact has different world timers. Rare plants (i.e., Jueyun Chili, Glaze Lily, and Philanemo Mushroom) take roughly 48 hours before they respawn from the time you pick them up. As such, you’re better off farming in Qingce Village followed by the Stone Gate area on the same day. This ensures that you could maximize efficiency while farming and waiting for their eventual respawn.

Note: If you found other great Jueyun Chili farming locations, let me know.
