Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is going to revolve around the two protagonists we all know and love from the Yakuza series in the form of Ichiban and Kiryu. The latter has been a staple for the series for nearly two decades, and entering the eighth mainline title, fans wonder how old the iconic Yakuza fighter is?
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth: How old is Kiryu
Like a Dragon, the 2020 installment of the series, saw fans control a new hero in the form of Ichiban. While we got to experience his witty and feel-good personality, fans were far more accustomed to Kiryu’s reserved nature. While Kiryu has shown plenty of emotion during the series, there are certainly two unique tones to the two characters, and each has a place in our hearts, respectively.
With all this said, Kiryu is going to be a major selling point for Infinite Wealth, and it has been noted this could be the final days of the Dragon of Dojima, as Kiryu has fallen ill with cancer. To what extent this is going to be reflected in the series overarching story is unknown at the time of writing, and we’re eager to see how it plays out.
With Kiryu also going grey during the game, it has been noted that Kiryu was born in 1968, making him 55 years old at the time Infinite Wealth takes place.

If that seems too young, fans of the series will know that Kiryu has been through a lot over the years, and is an avid smoker.
One would think that Ichiban and Kiryu have a sizeable age difference, but in fact, they’re only eight years apart, with Ichiban being 47 at the time Infinite Wealth took place. We’re certainly excited to see how the Yakuza title is going to play out this time around, and this is considerable anticipation built up around the game.
