Some arena battles in Armored Core 6 are easier than others. The Maeterlinck fight is hard for two reasons, the first is that it’s impossible to pronounce its name, and the second is because it is fast and frustrating. However, there is a pretty easy way to beat Maeterlinck in Armored Core 6, provided you know the right build and technique.
How to beat Maeterlinck in Armored Core 6
First, you need to get your build right. As with most fast-paced fights, I found that trying to match their speed is futile. Then, you need to know the tactics, and they may surprise you.
Build
Maeterlinck is all about speed and stun, so you need to prepare for that well. Get yourself some of the heavier legs; the DF-LG-08s did me very well. They don’t compromise too much on weight or speed but provide a lot of attitude and can support the weapon setup you need.
For the weapons, you can’t choose anything with a slow projectile, so double up on the chain guns. The fast speed of the bullets will negate Maeterlinck’s fast dashing speed in Armored Core 6. For the shoulders, go for heavy hitters like needle launchers or rockets. You want to cause as much Armored Core damage while Maeterlinck is stunned as possible.
Technique
Maeterlinck likes to stun and dash, so you need to get in there first. Thankfully, the chain guns track perfectly and build Armored Core stun fast. Focus on getting that stun bar up with sustained fire as quickly as possible. Dash from the pulse gun as and when you can.
As soon as you see the stagger bar build up, hammer with your shoulder weapons to drop Maeterlinck’s health down in Armored Core 6 quickly. If you get your timing right, you can finish this fight in two or three rounds of stagger and attack.
