How to beat Sasquatch in Cyberpunk 2077

A big task to take down this big foot.

Cyberpunk 2077 has a litany of good bosses for you to unload your arsenal onto. One of the earlier bosses is Sasquatch, a giant brute that could probably crush a skull in one hand. It’s no wonder you’re finding taking her down a hard task, as she is a melee powerhouse. But you know what they say: the bigger they are…

How to take down Sasquatch in Cyberpunk 2077

You’ll encounter the Sasquatch during the mission ‘I Walk the Line’. Matilda is a tough opponent, as she deals big damage with her fists or her giant hammer. Her quick advances and damaging strikes make maneuvering around her difficult as you try your best to deal damage. The worst part is that she can heal herself, too, making the fight last a lot longer than it should. There is no worse feeling than seeing the health that you’ve tried so hard to whittle down jump back up.

Before the encounter begins, you’ll actually see her on her phone, her back turned to you. This is the game giving you a golden opportunity to throw the fight in your favor. Before you do anything, notice the purple pack on her back. That device is what heals her. The first thing you should do is focus on taking that out. You can do this through the quickhack ‘short circuit’ after you’ve snuck up on her. You can also repeatedly send bullets at it to destroy it, taking out a huge chunk of her health.

Disabling the healing device will throw her onto the floor for a few precious moments, where you can unload all of your might. Try to aim for headshots for every single shot from now on, as they deal much more damage.

For the rest of the fight, try to queue quickhacks that will set her on fire, as she is vulnerable to the damage type. Wait for her to try and strike you or charge at you, dodge quickly, and then keep shooting at her head. To make the fight go as quickly as possible, using your quickhacks will be key here, as well as any explosives that you can quickly lob her way.

Once you’ve disabled the healing pack, the boss fight is actually pretty easy, so don’t worry too much about it.
