First, you need to unlock the Mating Tent. To do that, you need to start the Sins of the Flesh DLC. Once the Mating Tent becomes unlockable through the upgrade tower in the center of town, you can unlock it with one Divine Inspiration. You get Divine Inspiration by collecting small pieces from Followers.

With the Mating Tent unlocked, you can now build it — if you have the resources. To build the Mating Tent, you need 16 Gold Bars and four Silk Thread. Both of those items are made through Refineries. For Gold Bars, you need Coin and for Silk Thread, you need Spider Silk which can be acquired through spider enemies.

When you have the resources, you can only build one. I, too, wish you could create more Mating Tents so the entire cult could participate in the fun, but we only get one. Sad, but true.

How to use a Mating Tent in Cult of the Lamb

To use a Mating Tent in Cult of the Lamb, you need to spend one Sin. Sin is best collected through a Drinkhouse. You can also get a good chunk of Sin from Rituals.

After spending the Sin and selecting the Followers, the Mating Tent will be in use. After they are done, they’ll emerge with an egg. Make sure to have Hatcheries nearby for Followers to put their eggs into. Wait for time to pass, and the egg will hatch, giving you a new little Follower.

That is how Mating Tents are used in Cult of the Lamb. Go nuts! You may also want to learn how to use the Heavy Attack.
